Every year McGill University hosts several first-year orientation programs called “froshes.” There are faculty froshes (Arts, Science, etc) and alternative froshes. Across the Jewniverse is an alternative frosh run by the student-run Jewish community of downtown Montreal known as Ghetto Shul. Ghetto Shul has been running Jewish frosh for over five years, and we love being able to introduce students to Jewish life on campus!

You can choose to register for our frosh AND your faculty frosh or another alternative frosh. Some events may conflict, but you can pick and choose where you want be at every moment of every day!

JEWISH LIFE ON CAMPUS

ABOUT FROSH

Across the Jewniverse will be hosted by Ghetto Shul. Feel free to ask us about other Jewish organizations on campus - we'd love to tell you about them!

You will soon discover home-cooked meals on Friday nights, learning shiurs and chavurahs, social justice projects, and fun groups of Jewish friends to hang out with - McGill has it all!

Our goal is to create a lasting sense of community that extends beyond frosh to your everyday life at McGill! We're here to give you a Jewish home away from home, and we're so excited to meet you! For more information about Ghetto Shul, visit our website here.
